Lightweight Oak Decking 115mm

At UK Timber we have extensive on-site production facilities to enable the machining and finishing of our own oak decking. Being in charge of production from the tree to the finished article gives us complete product control and the quality of the finished product will stand as witness to our tried and tested production methods. We machine these decking boards to an 18mm depth, to give you the option of a beautiful oak deck at softwood prices.

Machined from character grade oak, you may experience knots, irregular grain and possibly a little sapwood - this all adds to the character of the board and gives that rustic English oak feel!

Our decking boards can be either machined with a bevelled edge non-slip reversible profile or planed smooth for a more contemporary effect.

They require no treatment once laid, however most customers choose to apply a coat of decking oil to prolong the initial colour and the character of the oak. If not treated, it will become a beautiful silver/grey colour once weathered. Taking good care of wood in exterior applications is of paramount importance as it not only provides protection to your decking but it will also enhance its natural beauty and feel. By protecting it from the elements you'll also be increasing its resistance against rot, decay and insect attack.
